Position Details

The County of Carroll is accepting applications for the position of Patrol Deputy.

This is a full-time position.

Carroll County has 466 square miles to be patrolled.

Our agency has 6 full time patrol deputies with three additional deputies as school resource officers. We also have one K-9 unit and investigations.

Minimum Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License
• Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character
• Pass IL POWER Test (new hires only)
• Be in good standing with current department (lateral only) 

Must comply and successfully complete:

Pre-employment screenings which may include:

• Interview(s)
• Extensive Background Check
• Post conditional offer screenings which may include physical or psychological testing
