Position Details

The Village of Justice Police Department seeks immediate qualified applicants for the position of Telecommunicator to:

• Answer emergency and non-emergency phone calls and in person requests
• Monitor radio frequency for communities regarding Police services
• Dispatch police for all emergency and non-emergency requests
• Monitor the status of all units throughout shift
• Create and receive information through a computer aided dispatch system
• Maintain required certifications
• Be able to handle walk in citizen inquiries/complaints prior to police officer

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
