Position Details

Hours:

Shifts vary depending on schedule. Some Evenings, Holidays and Weekends required.

Qualifications:

• Individual must possess at least 2 years of law enforcement experience as a police officer.
• Must possess a basic police officer certificate in the State of Illinois or have the ability to become re-certified within 3 months of appointment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Interested candidates must successfully complete an extensive background investigation. 

Duties:

Under the direction of the Chief of Police or Deputy Chief of Police, the F/T Police Officer shall:

• Provide protection of life and property
• Maintain regular patrols
• Assist in crime prevention
• Conduct investigation of crimes
• Provide public assistance
• Perform other related duties as required 

This is an at-will position.
