Position Details

The Village of Roselle is seeking a part-time Property Custodian.

The position is responsible for working an average of 25 hours per week, schedule to be determined.

The position of Property Custodian is part-time civilian position with the Police Department involving the receipt, recording, custody, security and disposition of all recovered property, evidence and contraband coming into the custody of the Police Department. Work involves the performance of a wide variety of Police Department activities that do not necessarily require a sworn officer, and other duties as assigned.

Applicants for this position should have:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Specialized training/education in the collection and preservation of evidence
• At least two years of general office, communications, or records management experience
