• Starting:

  • $66,449 (Officers who meet qualifications with part-time status)
  • Officers with at least one year of experience start between $72,837 (step 1) and $86,542 (step 5); Level of pay is based on experience
  Officers top out at: $95,875 (step 6)

  Benefits:

  • Rotating 12-hour shift work schedule (0700-1900 and 1900-0700)
  • Locked rotating days off, 3-day weekends

Position Details

Must have at least 12 months, uninterrupted service, in good standing, within the last 36-months in a full-time capacity, or at least 24-months of consistent service, in good standing, in a part-time capacity, with one or more recognized Illinois police agencies, and who has obtained certification through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
