Current Starting Salary:

$75,545 with merit increases to $118,560 after 6 years of service

Applicant must meet the following requirements:

• Must be between 21 and under 35 years of age (unless already a police officer)
• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4-year college
• Vision 20-40 both eyes corrected/uncorrected
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Have no tattoos below the wrist or above the neckline; Visible tattoos may be displayed above the wrist with approval of the Chief of Police

Application/Written Test:

Will run from December 22, 2023 and end on February 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM (noon)

Must be done through the National Testing Network (NTN) at:

Qualified candidates will be invited to the physical ability test.

Those invited to the physical ability test will be emailed a Village of Palatine Employment Application to complete. The employment application should be returned to the Palatine Police Department as soon as possible, but must be returned by Friday, February 16, 2024 at 8:00 AM.
