Position Details

The Village of Manhattan, IL is accepting applications for full-time lateral transfer police officers.

Currently, there are two vacant positions.

First Round of Interviews will begin after February 1st.

A second round of interviews will take place after March 15th.

Only the most qualified candidates will be scheduled for an interview.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Meets all Legal Requirements to be a Police Officer
• Ability to be certified by the ILETSB as a Police Officer
• Good Standing with current or most recent law enforcement agency
• Must be 21 years old
• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Valid Class D Driver's License
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• Must be able to perform the duties of a police officer
• Must exhibit good moral character and have not been convicted of any felony or certain misdemeanors which would preclude you from being a police officer in the State of Illinois
• Candidates will be required to interview with the Police Commission and successfully complete all screenings including:
• Interview
• Background Check
• Polygraph
• Psychological
• Medical
