The Hinsdale Fire Department is currently accepting Entry Level and Lateral applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic!

Applications are available until Monday, March 11, 2024, at 4 PM.

Firefighter/Paramedic Minimum Requirements:

• $30 non-refundable application processing fee (submitted to IOS Recruitment).
• Between the ages of 20 and 35 years of age at the time of application deadline unless exempt by statute (65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident who has applied for citizenship.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Any visible tattoos while wearing a short sleeve shirt must be covered with an arm sleeve.
• Valid CPAT and Ladder Climb issued by a licensed agency as of date of application deadline. CPAT and Ladder Climb considered valid only if issued within 12 months PRIOR to the application deadline. (Valid if dated 3/11/2023 – 3/11/2024).
• Must have a valid IDPH or National Registry EMT-B license by application deadline. Paramedic license due at time of hire.
• Completion and submission of online application and all required documents by March 11, 2024, at 4:00 PM.

Doors will open for sign-in at 8:30 AM. Please arrive no later than 9:00 AM with a photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID) and #2 pencil to sign-in. There will be no late admittance.

Testing will take place in Hinsdale. The exact location details will be provided to those eligible to test at a later date.

All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and successfully complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment consideration.
