Are you ready to become an essential part of a dynamic team within the City of Des Plaines Police Department?

The role of Police Record's Clerk awaits an individual with sharp attention to detail and a knack for efficient and accurate record's management.

Your Impact:

As our Police Records Clerk, you'll be at the forefront of interpreting and processing various police reports, criminal complaints, and documentation for court proceedings. Your coding, scanning, and data compilation skills will be crucial for analysis. Beyond that, you'll play a key role in maintaining records according to state criteria, ensuring timely dissemination of information to internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Interpret and process criminal, miscellaneous, and accident reports.
• Code, scan, and compile statistical data for analysis.
• Submit documentation for court proceedings to State and Federal agencies.
• Assist in records maintenance and retention, ensuring compliance with state criteria.
• Gather and disseminate information to police staff, the public, and external law enforcement agencies.

We Need You If:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of diversified office experience.
• You can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• You excel at planning and organizing work to support team priorities.
