Salary:

• $73,172 - $111,088

  If employed by the Brookfield Fire Department, the Candidate will be reimbursed for obligated expenses (training/equipment) incurred by previous department with proof of those costs.

Minimum Requirements:

• $35 non-refundable application fee
• United States citizen
• Must be 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at time of application, or as otherwise exempt by statute
• High School Diploma (or its equivalent)
• Valid Paramedic certification by the time of hire
• Valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) card and approved ladder climb card issued no more than 365 days prior to the date scheduled for the written exam. (valid if dated: 4/21/2023-4/21/2024). CPAT certification must also be current at the time of conditional offer. 

Virtual Testing Information:

Candidates must take the mandatory written examination the week of April 15th, 2024.

The exam will be administered virtually during business hours. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can test during these times. Exact dates/times for the exam will be released at a later date.
