Administrative Intern-Police Department

The Village of Elk Grove is seeking a college student to participate in a summer internship program with the Elk Grove Village Police Department during the summer of 2024.

The Police Department, in partnership with the community, is committed to public safety through law enforcement, education, and exceptional service while performing with the highest level of integrity and assuring all individuals' dignity and respect.

This internship is an opportunity to learn about the role of the Police Department within a local government through active participation in ongoing projects and programs. The Administrative Intern will be based in the Police Department and will work under the supervision of the Police Services Administrator.

Duties of the position may include:

• Create educational social media campaigns for the Police Department.
• Assist with weekly Status and Information reports, monthly Village newsletter, Neighborhood Watch Newsletter, and Employee Wellness Newsletter.
• Learn about the value of employee wellness by proposing and administering a wellness program.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
