Position Details

The Northlake Police Department is accepting resumes for the position of full-time Police Telecommunicator.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operation of sophisticated radio and telephone networks
• Processing 9-1-1 emergency calls
• Other related duties 

Requirements:

• At least 20 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Pass extensive background investigation, including polygraph and psychological evaluations
• Pass physical exam, including drug screen
• Have ability to speak clear articulate English
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and holidays
• Must possess a valid Illinois drivers license
• Possess basic computer skills
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Experience desirable, but not necessary
• Bilingual in Spanish, highly desirable
