Firefighter/Paramedic Minimum Requirements:

• $30.00 non-refundable application fee. Fee waivers for financial hardship available upon request. Contact recruitment@iosolutions.com for additional information.
• U.S. Citizen
• At least 21 years of age by the date of application deadline and not older than 35 by date of appointment, unless exempt by statute
• No felony convictions
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Present a valid CPAT with Ladder Climb – [No more than 12 months old] by date of application deadline. Must be dated 5/10/2023 – 5/10/2024. Must also be valid at the date of conditional offer of employment.
• Possess a valid IDPH Paramedic license (EMT-P) due at time of hire.
• Candidates may be required to show proof of enrollment in a paramedic program or a letter of status and good standing to the Department at a later date.

Virtual Testing Information:

Candidates must take the mandatory written examination the week of June 10th, 2024.

The exam will be administered virtually during business hours – no nights or weekend dates/times will be offered. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can test during these times. Exact dates/times for the exam will be released at a later date.
