Position Details

The Village of Carpentersville is seeking an experienced professional for the full-time position of Police Records Supervisor.

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Records Division in the Police Department and providing leadership and supervision to employees.

The Police Records Supervisor must perform and oversee technical and clerical law enforcement support duties related to collecting, recording, transcribing, maintaining, processing, editing, retrieving, and distributing confidential law enforcement data and information.

Qualifications:

• The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years of experience in Police Records.
• A Law Enforcement Agency Data System (LEADS) Operator Certification is required, or must be obtained within six months of hire.
• A Bachelor's Degree in business, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• English/Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
