The Village is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the role of the newly created Assistant Director of Counseling Services in the Village’s Police Department.
Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, the Assistant Director performs social service assistance through crisis intervention, assessment and short-term counseling, court advocacy with victims of crimes, consultation, case management and providing appropriate community and clinical resources to individuals/families who are referred to the unit.
The Counseling Services Unit also provides 24-hour on-call crisis intervention support in handling critical incidents and/or traumatic events for both victims and witnesses. This unit also provides an internal Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for the Village of Northbrook Employees.
