The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners of the Village of Libertyville, Illinois is accepting applications for the position of police officer with the Libertyville Police Department.

All applicants must meet the following minimum requirements established by the Village of Libertyville:
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident of the United States
- The following documents are accepted as proof of legal residency:
- Copy of birth certificate (Note: Hospital-issued birth certificates are not verifiable, and therefore cannot be accepted)
- Copy of Valid US Passport
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Copy of US Permanent Residency Card (Green Card)
- No felony convictions (Note: a misdemeanor or serious traffic offense may also disqualify applicants from further consideration)
- Valid driver's license
- Possess 20/20 corrected vision
- Minimum of 21 years of age by the application deadline date (July 12, 2024)
- Be UNDER 35 years of age at the time of application and at such time as the initial eligibility list is posted, unless exempt from such age limitations as provided in Section 5/10.2 1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioners Act
- Be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. equivalent
- Possess a valid POWER test card -OR- equivalent criteria as per the State standard, issued within 1 year prior to the written exam date, July 27, 2024
- Applicants must present the POWER Test card NO LATER than July 27, 2024
- There is no fee for this application
