Position of Police Officer

City of Hickory Hills

We are a Municipal Police Department located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago that serves the City of Hickory Hills, a city of approximately 14,000 people with a mix of residential, commercial, and light industrial areas set upon 3 square miles.

We have 28 sworn officers that have the opportunity to train in a variety of specialty roles, such as:

• Detective
• Task Force Officer
• SWAT Officer
• Traffic Officer/Accident Reconstructionist
• Evidence Technician
• Firearms instructor
• Field Training Officer
• D.A.R.E. Officer
• Bicycle Officer 

We work closely with our neighboring communities and belong to several Multi-Jurisdictional Task Forces such as:

• South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force
• Southwest Major Case Unit
• Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team
• 5th District SWAT team 

This allows our Officers additional opportunities for growth and training.

Monday through Friday

8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

All completed applications must be returned to the Clerk's Office no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

Application fee is $30.00 when obtained, NON-REFUNDABLE.
