Position Details

Full-Time Police Officer Opportunity

The Bannockburn Police Department is looking to fill one full-time police officer position.

The Police Department currently has eight full-time and eight part-time officers.

We are looking for an experienced officer who is available to start solo patrol in October after an abbreviated FTO program.

Officers work 8-hour shifts on a 3-month rotation.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• No felony convictions (or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude)
• Valid driver's license and FOID card
• High school diploma (college credit hours preferred)
• Must be an Illinois State Certified Full-Time or retired Officer
• Must have at least 5 years of municipal police experience, including patrol and traffic enforcement
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and midnight shifts
• Must be able to successfully pass a psychological screening, medical and drug test and extensive personal interview and background investigation
