  Part-time Officer - Shifts are every Saturday and Sunday from 0700 to 1500, plus intermittent M-F 0700 to 1500, to fill in for time off or training days. ($24/hour)

  In addition to the officer's regular shifts, every month we have Special Detail duties available at a rate of $38.17/hour

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The Village of Prairie Grove, McHenry County, Illinois (Pop. 2,000), is seeking applicants for Part-Time Officers.

This is a great community for the recently retired officer or those wanting a slower-paced law enforcement position. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Twenty-one years of age or older.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• A certified law enforcement officer in the State of Illinois.
• Must hold a valid Firearms Owners Identification card. (Illinois residents)
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors, as defined by statute.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Must participate in and complete all stages of the hiring process, which may include but are not limited to:
• oral interview
• extensive background investigation
• post-offer physical/drug/psychological test
