• $24.41 - $26.28/hour (depending on certification level)

  2024 Benefit Information:

  This is an at-will position and is not considered a commissioned rank.

  • Accrue 1 sick day annually
  • $100 bi-weekly contribution towards 457b
  • $269.23 bi-weekly stipend (employee may choose to use for Health Insurance)
  • Flexible shift schedule 12 or 24 shifts available and the ability to trade shifts
  • Eligible for overtime
  • Firefighter reimbursement training academy agreement available for non-certified firefighters

Position Details

The Long Grove Fire Protection District is currently looking to fill the position of Part-Time Firefighter Paramedic.

Job Requirements:

• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age
• Citizenship Required: Legal resident of the United States of America
• High School Grad/GED: High school diploma, G.E.D. certificate or equivalent
• Valid ILLINOIS Driver's License: Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License or the Wisconsin equivalent
• Ability to Read/Speak English: Be capable of reading, speaking, and writing in the English language
• Vision: Medical evaluation including vision and other requirements in accordance with the current edition of NFPA 1582
• College: None required
• Academy Certification: Illinois Licensed Paramedic, Current CPAT at time of hire date (CPAT card may not be dated more than 12 months prior to the date of hire)
