What the job is:

The Community Service Officer assists the Public Safety Department operations by:

• Supporting the Public Safety Department's emergency operations
• Performing animal control duties
• Performing parking enforcement
• Conducting municipal ordinance enforcement and issuing citations
• Representing the Village in court
• Performing prisoner watches
• Providing outstanding customer service

Community Service Officers also have the opportunity to:

• Serve as a trained car seat installer
• Provide intelligence and support for NORTAF/NIPAS
• Serve as a paid on-call Firefighter

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Less than 1 year of related experience
