The DeKalb IL Police Department is accepting applications for: LATERAL POLICE OFFICER

The City of DeKalb is accepting applications for Lateral Police Officers. The DeKalb Police Department consists of 70 sworn and 30 civilian personnel. The department consists of four divisions: Patrol, Administrative Services, Community Support Services, and Investigations. The Department is staffed with a Chief, a Deputy Chief, 4 Commanders, 12 Sergeants, 55 Police Officers, and 2 Contracted Social Workers that responded to 44,763 calls for service in 2023.

The department has a lot to offer including:
