The entry salary range is $68,416.15 to $106,423.93 depending on qualifications/years of service at the discretion of the Chief of Police in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.

This is a full-time position that requires working various shifts.
The Cary Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.
Solicitation is being conducted to fill full-time current Police Officer vacancies and to identify candidates for an Alternate Eligibility Register (Lateral Entry) for available positions.
Candidates included on the Eligibility Register will remain eligible for two years or until exhausted.
