The District is comprised of three fire stations, staffing two engines, two ambulances, a tower ladder, and a battalion chief daily. The total call volume is approximately 4,800 incidents annually. Requirements:

• Age: 21-35
• US Citizen: Yes, or eq.
• High School Grad/GED: Yes
• Valid State Driver's License: Yes
• Ability to Read/Speak English: Yes
• Vision: Must meet NFPA/582
• College: Not Required
• Academy Certification: IL Basic Operations Firefighter
• Necessary Certifications: IDPH or National Registry EMT- Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT- Paramedic
• Must have or have the ability to obtain IDPH EMT-Paramedic or currently enrolled in a paramedic program to be considered for immediate hire. 

Additional Requirements:

• Pass a Polygraph test
• Pass a thorough background investigation
• Pass a psychological examination
• Pass a medical examination
• Pass the written test
• Valid CPAT and Ladder climb within one-year period before the application date
