  Westchester Firefighter Benefits:

  • Applicants with prior municipal experience and required certifications (a State of Illinois OFSM Basic Operations Firefighter certification, Fire Apparatus Engineer certification, and Class B-Non CDL Driver's License) are eligible to start at Pay Step 2 or Step 3, depending on experience.
  • Top-out Firefighter/Paramedic salary after 5 years is $119,449.18
  • 13 days off in the first year.
  • Adjusted pay for working on holidays.
  • Reimbursement for paramedic school tuition within 3 years prior to probation completion.
