Current salary range for this position is $58,287.86 - $78,191.03 ($28.02 - $37.59/hour) within seven consecutive anniversary step increases in addition to annual Cost-of-Living Adjustments (COLA) per the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Experienced 9-1-1 Telecommunicators may be eligible to start at a higher step scale. This is dependent on review of experience, qualifications, and previous employer employee evaluation.

The E-COM Dispatch Center is a consolidated, multi-jurisdictional emergency communications center located in Homewood, IL serving the City of Country Club Hills, East Hazel Crest, Flossmoor, Glenwood, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Riverdale, South Holland, and Thornton.
A cutting-edge, 15,000 square foot, employee-focused 9-1-1 Center is set to be completed by late 2025!
Duties include but are not limited to the primary function of a Telecommunicator (TC) is to answer emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and information.
Telecommunicators may be subject to stressful and emotional situations. Telecommunicators must work varying hours, including night, weekend and/or holiday shifts in a 24-hour environment. The current 40-hour work week is based on an eight-hour shift depending on coverage with two combined days off and shifts beginning at either 7:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Shift schedules may change on two-month intervals or placement on a permanent shift for the calendar year.
