This is a part-time position.

The City of Palos Hills is accepting applications for the part-time position of Community Service Officer (CS0).
The CSO is a uniformed, non-sworn member of the Police Department. The CSO interacts heavily with the public and performs police-related duties that do not require the services of a sworn officer such as traffic control, enforcement of local ordinances, investigation of private property traffic accidents, and responding to non-criminal service calls.
This position requires an individual who communicates effectively, demonstrates a command of City regulations, attention to detail, integrity, a dedication to providing outstanding customer service, sound independent judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Minimum High School Diploma, or GED Certificate, or High School Proficiency Statement.
Position typically works no more than three (3) shifts per week. The shifts are eight (8) hours in length. Some overtime and after-hours assignments may be required.
