IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The West Dundee, Illinois Board of Fire and Police Commission is accepting applications for the position of police officer with the West Dundee Police Department.

Lateral Transfer Candidates:

An applicant who is a police officer in good standing with the law enforcement agency he/she is employed with and certified by the State certification board for at least two (2) years is eligible to be placed on a lateral transfer eligibility list.

• Lateral transfer candidates are NOT required to obtain a P.O.W.E.R. test card
• Lateral transfer candidates are NOT required to take the written exam
• Lateral transfer candidates ARE REQUIRED to participate in the oral interview process

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be eligible for the Lateral Transfer Eligibility List, you must meet the following requirements:

• Proof of current full-time employment as a sworn officer of a regular police department in any municipality, county, university or State law enforcement agency for at least two (2) years; AND
• Proof of Certification by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board; AND
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED; AND
• Provide past and current work assignments; AND
• Provide past & current performance evaluations
