Position Details

Several Positions Immediately Available

The Village of Indian Head Park, Illinois is currently seeking applications from exceptional individuals for the position of part-time Police Officer to serve our small bedroom community.

The applicant will perform duties to include but not limited to:

Enforcing traffic, criminal laws, and local ordinances
Provide emergency response as needed
Write reports
Handle traffic crashes
Attend court as needed
Handle any and all other duties assigned

Minimum qualifications include:

Individuals who are currently certified as a peace officer by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
21 years of age+
U.S. Citizen
High school graduate (or equivalent)
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Valid FOID card
Excellent moral character
Positive attitude
Good mental, emotional, and physical condition
No felony or domestic violence convictions
No negative work history (i.e., termination, resignation while under investigation, or resignation subsequent to an investigation)

All qualified applicants will be required to:

Pass an oral interview
Pass a thorough background investigation, including possible credit check
Pass a pre-employment screening, including:

Physical exam
Drug screening
Psychological evaluation
Polygraph
