A significant component of this position is serving as a Crossing Guard to assist school-aged youth in crossing the street at assigned intersections.
The part-time Community Service Officer works outdoors in a rotating shift schedule. Shifts are generally 9.5 hours daily, less than 30 hours weekly. May be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Work occurs in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat and cold.
