Starting: $29.64 - $32.94/hour, DOQ

The Village of Lisle is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Evidence and Property Coordinator within the Police Department.

The Evidence and Property Coordinator oversees the receipt, identification, categorization, storage, and custody of a wide variety of evidence, found property, safekeeping items, and items held for destruction in accordance with established best practices, departmental general orders, state, and federal laws.
High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in Business or a related field with three years of records/evidence experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this position.
The physical demands that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include regularly talking, hearing, traveling from place to place, handling objects, and reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, supplies, and property that weighs up to 50 pounds as well as operate office machinery. Ability to perform a variety of physical and mental skills including but not limited to standing or sitting for extended periods of time, reading and writing, preparing and presenting material in a formal setting, performing complex mathematical computations, making sound decisions and using good judgment and demonstrating intellectual and communication capabilities.
