Position Details

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 21 years of age
• Valid State of Illinois Drivers License
• US Citizen or legal resident
• 60 semester hour from accredited college or university
• Combine or substitute education requirement with military service: 30 semester hours and 1 year of continuous active duty service in the U.S. Armed Forces OR
• 2 years of continuous service in the U.S. Armed Forces
• The 60 semester hour college or university education requirement will be waived for candidates with experience as:
• 2 YEARS:
• An active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States
• Peace office
• 3 YEARS:
• Reserve/National Guard
• Correctional officer
• Detention officer
• Licensed professional security or private security contractor
• Professional in a trade industry
• A social service, health care service or education professional
