Position Details

Paramedics work in high-stress, unpredictable and often dangerous situations, and require a vast knowledge base to accurately assess and respond to patient conditions. As front-line providers, paramedics are vital to assessing and managing medical emergencies, providing pre-hospital care to those in need. Responsibilities of the Paramedic include performing physical exams, administering medication, utilizing medical equipment, providing triage, and transporting patients to appropriate medical facilities.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Responding to emergency calls and providing immediate medical attention to patients at the scene.
• Assessing the condition of patients and determining the necessary medical interventions.
• Administering appropriate emergency medical treatments following established protocols.
• Transporting patients safely to medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and utilizing advanced life support techniques when required.
• Providing accurate and concise medical documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Collaborating with other emergency medical services personnel, doctors, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintaining and restocking medical supplies, equipment, and vehicles to ensure readiness for emergency response.
• Participating in ongoing training and continuing education to stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency medical care.
• Adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the provision of emergency medical services.
• Collect and record the patient's demographic information which includes their name, DOB, address, phone number, and insurance information in the ePCR.
