Position Details

The Burr Ridge Police Department is currently accepting applications for Entry Level Police Officers.

Entry Level Candidates must fill out an application with NTN.

Select ‘Find Jobs’, then select Law Enforcement Jobs and sign up for Burr Ridge Police Department.

All Entry Level Candidates must complete the FrontLine National exam through National Testing Network.

Applicants must also complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA) and the Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) located in your National Testing Network account.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All National Testing Network testing must be completed by February 15, 2025, to be eligible for this round of hiring.

Department Overview:

The Burr Ridge Police Department consists of 32 full-time employees, 28 of whom are sworn officers including a Chief, two (2) Deputy Chiefs, and five (5) Sergeants. Officers enjoy working twelve-hour shifts and participating in extensive levels of training.

The Department also offers a variety of specialty positions:

The Village of Burr Ridge is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Chicago. With a population of 11,192 and an area of 7.332 square miles.

Hiring Process:

1. Complete the Burr Ridge Police Department application process. This includes completing the National Testing Network’s Frontline exam, personal history questionnaire (PHQ), Public Safety Self-Assessment (PSSA), and uploading a completed application with all necessary documentation. Applications with missing documentation will not be considered.
