Police Officer (Entry & Lateral)

ENTRY AND LATERAL POLICE OFFICER

VILLAGE OF HAZEL CREST

Accepting applications for full-time positions for Entry-Level and Lateral-Hire Police Officers.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• 30 credit hours from an accredited college or equivalent work experience
• Full-time Police Officer Certification or equivalent (laterals)
• At least 21 years of age at time of appointment
• New employees must move within prescribed boundaries 6 months after the successful completion of probation
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Valid Illinois Driver's License
• FOID Card (at time of hire)

Hiring Process:

• Mandatory Orientation (Non-laterals)
• Power Test (Physical Agility) (Non-laterals)
• Written Examination (Non-laterals)
• Oral Interview
• Background Investigation
• Polygraph and Psychological Examinations
• Medical Examination
