Position Details

The Lewis University Police Department is a trained, professional organization committed to providing a safe and secure educational and working environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

The Campus Police Officer is a member of the Police Department professional staff. The function of the Campus Police Officer is to maintain security and safety for assigned areas, effectively respond to requests for service and enforce applicable state and local laws in addition to University policies. Campus Police Officers are an integral part of the department's overall community policing strategy. Campus Police Officers are part of the University's team of first responders equipped to assist in various emergency and non-emergency situations.
