The Village of Dolton is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Police Officer (full-time).

Requirements: Lateral Applicants

Additional requirements include:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving history.
• Satisfactory employment history (no discipline issues).
• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be of good moral character.
• Must be able to get a waiver from ILETSB.

Requirements: Part-time Officer

• The candidate must be certified as a Part Time Police Officer AND be in good standing with the Illinois State Training and Standards Board.
• Upon completion of FTO, candidates will be sent to the 2-week transition course for their full time certification.
• A complete and thorough background investigation will be conducted on each candidate selected to move forward in the hiring process.
