QuadCom is currently accepting applications for the position of Emergency Communications Operator.
QuadCom is a multi-jurisdictional, Police/Fire/9-1-1 Dispatch Center that provides emergency communications to ten municipal police and fire departments/fire protection districts located in northern Kane County, Illinois. QuadCom utilizes a Vesta 911 Telephone System, Motorola MCC7500 Radio Console System, and Tyler Computer Aided Dispatch System.
Emergency Communications Operator duties include efficient and prompt dissemination of information through monitoring and answering all emergency and administrative phone lines, radio frequencies, alarm board, and any other equipment as required for the function of QuadCom.
QuadCom has a 5-2/5-3 8.5 hour work day schedule for full time staff. After training an employee is assigned to a permanent shift that is bid annually with day off keys.
The successful candidate must pass the CritiCall test, Comprehensive Personality Profile, oral interview, background investigation, psychological exam, and is subject to the Director's review. Any job offers are contingent upon a physical examination including a drug screen and hearing test.
