The City of Wisconsin Rapids is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizenship
A minimum of 18 years of age at time of appointment
Associate Degree in Police Science, or a college degree in a related field, or a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level courses attested by a transcript from the college
Completion of Basic Police Recruit Training with Wisconsin Certification at time of hire
Valid Wisconsin driver's license
Fluent in speaking and writing English
Ability to maintain the legal right to possess firearms
Ability to swim and survive in water rescue operations
Vision at least correctable 20/20
Ability to distinguish color
Must live within 30 miles of the city's jurisdictional boundaries within one year of appointment
