IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The Village of Spring Grove is currently seeking applications from exceptional individuals for the part-time police officer roster.

We have a simple and timely hiring process directed by the Chief of Police. Any future full-time openings are usually filled through our part-time roster. An abbreviated FTO program is offered based on prior experience.

SGPD is fortunate to serve a community who are supportive of law enforcement and show their appreciation often. We are a police administration that is progressive, forward thinking, and recognizes the contributions of its officers.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Must be 21 years of age
• A valid driver's license
• High School Diploma
• Must be full/part-time certified through the ILETSB or have the appropriate training and certification from another state that is compatible with Illinois training requirements
• Valid FOID Card
• Must be in good standing – No felony convictions
• Currently employed in law enforcement or separated in good standing from a law enforcement agency
• Available to work all hours, weekends and holidays
• Work a minimum of four shifts and provide availability for eight shifts each month
• Must participate in and complete all stages of the hiring process, but not limited to:
• oral interview
• background investigation
• physical examination
• drug screening
• psychological examination
