Position Details

Tri-Com Central Dispatch (Tri-Com) located in Kane County, Illinois is Now Accepting Applications for the Position of Radio Technician (Part-Time).

Tri-Com Central Dispatch is a multi-jurisdictional 9-1-1 communications center located in St. Charles, Illinois. We handle emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching police, fire, and EMS services across multiple agencies. Our operations utilize both the Starcom21 and VHF radio platforms.

The Radio Technician will be responsible for:

• programming portable and mobile radios
• performing preventative maintenance on radio towers and associated equipment
• recommending replacements or new purchases
• maintaining detailed records of work performed
