The Grayslake Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Community Service Officer.
Ideal candidates should possess excellent customer service skills and be able to work tactfully and courteously with the public. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and follow department policies and procedures.
Community Service Officers currently work permanent 12-hour shifts, 6am to 6pm, with every other weekend off. Shifts can vary depending on department needs, so the ideal candidate needs to be flexible with their schedule. CSOs are expected to be available to work special events such as parades, festivals and other community events, outside of their regular work schedule, and are compensated at their hourly overtime rate of pay.
