Position Details

The Village of Lake in the Hills Police Department welcomes applications for a Community Service Officer.

This position will be responsible for the provision of support services to the Police Department and handles non-criminal tasks under the Patrol Division.

Responsibilities would include:

• Responding to non-criminal ordinance calls, traffic crashes and control, motorist assists
• Supporting special events and community programs 

This full time position is scheduled from 8am - 8pm on rotating shifts with additional shifts as required to support special tasks/events.

The Community Service Officer position acts under the supervisions of the Sergeant/Shift Commander.

• Strong communication skills
• A passion for interacting with the community
• A genuine interest in law enforcement 

A successful candidate will have:

• Prior experience in a public safety role
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid Illinois driver's license
