Position Details

The Village of Oakwood Hills, Illinois, is currently accepting applications for qualified experienced law enforcement professionals.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• 21 years of age or under the age of 35 years of age. You are exempt by State Statue 65 IL 5/10-2.1-6, which provides in part that the age limitation does not apply to any person previously employed as a certified (full-time) Law Enforcement Officer for a municipality in the United States.
• Must have proof of High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• Good moral character.
• Must not have been convicted of a felony, a crime of moral turpitude, or a misdemeanor.
• Must be certified by the State of Illinois and a graduate of a full-time academy
• Currently employed in law enforcement and serves with no adverse employment actions/and or, not be more than one (1) year separated from a law enforcement agency in good standing.

All qualified applicants must agree to comply with all requirements of the position and have the ability to pass all examinations and training requirements, including but limited to a thorough background investigation, interview, pre-employment drug screening, and psychological.
