Salary:

• $33.97 - $47.79/hour (based on experience)

  Annual Salary Range: $70,657 - $99,403

  Salary Step Placement: Placement commensurate with years of policing experience

  $10,000 Hiring Bonus

  Award Leave:

  Earn up to 80 hours of paid time off for applicable prior experience in addition to personal, vacation, sick, and holiday leave

  Standard Work Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts

Position Details

Peoria PD is actively seeking certified, experienced law enforcement officers from out-of-state agencies to join our team.

As a lateral hire, you'll skip the academy and be considered for salary placement and paid time off based on your prior service.

Hiring Process:

• Submit application.
• Virtual or in-person Command Staff oral board interview.
• Out-of-state laterals may complete the remaining steps in one visit (~3 days): polygraph, background check, Chief's interview, conditional offer, AZPOST medical exam, drug screen, psychological screening.
• Final job offer contingent on successful completion of screening and medical clearance.
