Now Hiring: Part-Time Police Officers

Village of McCullom Lake Police Department

The Village of McCullom Lake Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for Part-Time Police Officer positions.

This opportunity is ideal for recently retired officers or individuals seeking a slower-paced, community-oriented law enforcement role.

Job Duties:

• Respond to calls for service
• Enforcing traffic, criminal laws, and local ordinances
• Effecting arrests
• Community policing
• Complete reports as needed
• Handle traffic crashes
• Attend court as needed
• Assist surrounding agencies as needed
• Handle any and all other duties assigned 

Candidates selected must first meet all the following criteria:

• 21 years of age
• High school graduate (or equivalent)
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Illinois Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card
• Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6.
• Mentally and physically able to perform the tasks of the job
•  Able to pass a drug screening
• Must have successfully completed an Illinois Basic Law Enforcement Training course or another program approved for a waiver by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board
