Position Details

The Village of Johnsburg is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Police Commander.

The Police Commander will report directly to the Chief of Police and perform tasks consistent with day to day department operations, including specified tasks assigned by the Village Administrator and Village President.

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates are required to be a certified LE Officer in the State of Illinois, possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of municipal police experience, or an experience base of 10 years with progressively increased police supervisory job responsibilities.
• Candidates must have successfully completed staff and command training through the FBI National Academy or similarly recognized program.
