Position Details

The Dallas Police Department is currently hiring for the position of Police Officer Trainee.

The Dallas Police Department Recruiting Unit will be at:

Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center

Chicago State University

9501 S. King Drive

Chicago, IL 60628

Thursday 10/24 to Saturday 10/26 beginning at 8am

Applicants will have the opportunity to:

• Take the written exam and physical fitness test
• Complete the associate application paperwork to begin the background check process. 

The process should take approx 6 hours depending upon what time they arrive for testing.

Basic Requirements (Must meet at least one of these):

• Ages 19 1/2 to 21 require 60 college hours (2.0GPA)
• Ages 21 to 44 require 45 college hours (2.0GPA)
• 3 years active military (Honorable Discharge)
• Active TCOLE Peace Officer License (3 years experience)
