  Year 2: 75,740

  Year 3: $77,970

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide critical life-saving services to the community, utilizing their expertise in emergency medical response and firefighting. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning. Logical Life Safety, NFP contract through Little Rock-Fox FPD.

Duties:

• Respond to emergency calls and provide life-saving care to patients, utilizing basic life support, first aid, and advanced medical techniques.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, to identify and treat medical conditions.
• Operate complex medical equipment, demonstrating a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Perform heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks in emergency situations.
• Drive emergency vehicles safely and efficiently to emergency scenes, utilizing commercial driving skills.
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and ambulance teams, to provide comprehensive support.
• Maintain accurate records of emergency responses and patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest medical and firefighting techniques. 

Requirements:

• Illinois Licensed EMT-Paramedic
• Must test into Southern Fox Valley EMS system if not already in system
• BOF Preferred
• Valid Illinois Class B Non-CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Must pass NFPA 1582 physical
• Must pass background check
