Lateral Police Officer

• Must have at least two (2) years of continuous full-time police service or left most recent agency in good standing within two (2) years.
• Served as a full-time police officer within last two years of the hire date.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a comprehensive pre-employment screening process to include:
• background investigation
• polygraph
• psychological
• medical examination with drug testing
• Must pass an oral interview with the Board of Fire and Police Commission
• Must meet all requirements of the position

• A resume
• Professional licenses
• Training certificates
• Documents confirming work experience
• Birth certificate o High school diploma or GED certificate
• Transcripts of higher learning
• Navel or military service board and discharge papers (DD214/Copy4)
